Kavanagh Builders carried out a large two storey kitchen and bedroom extension for us in April/May of 2008. The work involved building a large kitchen/diner, extending the master bedroom with new en suite bathroom and adding a fourth bedroom.
We had received quotations from a number of other builders but either the cost or the length of time they suggested put us off. One builder quoted 20 weeks!
Kavanagh Builders started work on the day they had promised, and didn’t leave the job until it was complete. I have heard of plenty of builders who move from job to job and never turn up when they were expected to, but this was not the case with them.
The work took 8 weeks from start to finish and the electrical and plumbing works were included in the quotation, which ensured that the work was done in the correct sequence without any need for stress from us! We were also told what works would happen in the next day or two so that we could plan ahead. There were some major alterations carried out to the rear of the existing building to remove walls, insert steelwork etc. and all this was done with minimum fuss and disruption.
The new bricks, windows and roof tiles were chosen carefully to match the existing building and the quality of the finished product is excellent. One other thing to mention is that we were given some good advice on where to obtain some of the other items we needed to purchase at trade prices (e.g. fitted kitchen) which was a real bonus.
We would happily recommend Kavanagh Builders to anyone who is looking for a conscientious, hard working high quality builder. We are very pleased with the end results!

They explained every stage of the proceedings and always left the site tidy, Their professionalism shows in the fact that they sought out exactly the same bricks that form the existing building - so you really can't see the join. Also they were able to call on a team of other professionals - plumber, electrician, plasterer. Everyone did a superb job.
